Just two and a half more weeks for the 25-26 Summer series, almost immediately followed by our second Winter series and to think in January we were afraid we’d be wrapping up before the end of February because of bad weather.
Our remaining Summer schedule is:
- March 20th in Coyle Park, Pt Chev a 5 hectare park, with grassy open spaces, mature trees, harbour views, and impressive cliff faces at the other end of Point Chevalier Road to where we used to perform outside the now replaced library. We try to perform just to the left when you come through the gates at the end of Point Chevalier Road.
- March 24th Library Square, 3 Memorial Drive, New Lynn. A beautiful bricked square in the centre of New Lynn. Our photo doesn’t show it, but there is limited seating to the right of the library.
- March 27th in front of the Band Stand in Auckland Domain. There’s no address for the bandstand but maps apps may recognise this pin. Enter the park from Park Road, near the hospital, follow the road around and the parking and band stand are on your right about 400 metres in.
- March 31st in Coyle Park, Pt Chev a 5 hectare park, with grassy open spaces, mature trees, harbour views, and impressive cliff faces at the other end of Point Chevalier Road to where we used to perform outside the now replaced library. We try to perform just to the left when you come through the gates at the end of Point Chevalier Road.
- March 3rd Library Square, 3 Memorial Drive, New Lynn. A beautiful bricked square in the centre of New Lynn. Our photo doesn’t show it, but there is limited seating to the right of the library. Through a massive lack of planning, this is on Good Friday. Spiced buns will not be provided, they are a breakfast food.

All our shows are true open mics with a continuously rotating cast. If you’d like to perform, you can sign-up to perform at our google form or just come along to watch and if you’d like a go, talk to the MC and we’ll squeeze you in if we can.

Like last Winter, the winter series shows will be on Saturdays1This year, ANZAC Day is a Saturday so we are having that gig on the next day, Sunday 26th. afternoons from 1 to 2:30, with extension possible until 3 PM.
Last Winter we tried to use parks with covered spots that we could use in light rain, we think we only had light rain twice at one of those parks and in neither case did we have an Audience. We either had fine weather or heavy rain. This Winter We have kept the best two covered spots: Tahaki Reserve, Mt Eden and Auckland Domain Grandstand, Parnell and four of the better summer spots: Jellicoe Park, Onehunga; Selwyn Domain, Mission Bay; Coyle Park, Pt Chev and New Lynn Library Square.

We’ll keep a close eye on the weather forecast for the day of the show & if possible will give two hours warning of any cancellations by posting a message on the Facebook event for the show. We can’t always get notifications out quickly on other places so please tag yourself as going on our Facebook events.
